Sizing & Fit Guide

How to Measure Your Dog

To keep your dog safe and comfortable, it’s important to choose the right size collar and harness. Grab a soft measuring tape (or a piece of string and a ruler) and follow these simple steps before you order.

Measure for a Collar – Neck Circumference

  1. Make sure your dog is standing in a natural, relaxed position.
  2. Wrap the tape around the base of the neck, where the collar will sit (usually the thickest part).
  3. Keep the tape snug but not tight – you don’t want to pinch the skin.
  4. Add 2–3 cm for comfort and fur, especially for fluffy or growing puppies.
  5. Compare your final number with our collar size chart to choose the best size.

Measure for a Harness – Chest Girth & Neck

  1. Chest girth (most important): Wrap the tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. Keep the tape level and snug against the fur.
  2. Neck (for harnesses that sit higher on the chest): Measure around the base of the neck where the front of the harness will sit.
  3. Add 2–3 cm to each measurement so your dog can move, breathe, and play comfortably.
  4. Use both measurements to match your dog to our harness size chart.

Fit tip: You should be able to slide two fingers comfortably between your dog and their collar or harness. If it’s tighter than that, go up a size. If it spins or slips off the shoulders, it’s too loose.

Harness Size Guides

Adjustable Harness

Measure your dog’s neck and chest girth, then choose the size where both measurements fit within the ranges below. If your dog is between sizes or still growing, choose the larger size for extra adjustment room.

Size Webbing width Length Neck Chest Typical breeds & weight*
XS 1.5 cm 14.5 cm 23–29 cm 28–38 cm Toy breeds & small puppies (approx. 2–4.5 kg): Chihuahua, Toy Poodle, Yorkshire Terrier, very young Cavoodle/Maltese.
S 1.5 cm 17.5 cm 27–36 cm 36–52 cm Small breeds & older puppies (approx. 4–8 kg): Cavoodle, Maltese, Mini Dachshund, Pug, French Bulldog puppies.

Trail Harness

The Trail Harness is designed for adventure and extra support. Measure your dog’s neck and chest girth and choose the size where both measurements fall within the ranges below. For deep-chested or very active dogs, prioritise a comfortable chest fit and make sure you can still fit two fingers under the neck area.

Size Webbing width Length Neck Chest Typical breeds & weight*
XS 2.0 cm 18.5 cm 24–36 cm 32–45 cm Small but active dogs (approx. 4–7 kg): Mini Dachshund, small Cavoodle, Jack Russell, small Pug.
S 2.0 cm 21 cm 32–45 cm 35–66 cm Compact medium breeds (approx. 7–15 kg): French Bulldog, Cocker Spaniel, small Kelpie, Beagle, Staffy puppies.
M 2.0 cm 25 cm 35–60 cm 40–71 cm Medium to larger breeds (approx. 14–25 kg): Border Collie, Kelpie, young Labrador, Staffy, Aussie Shepherd.

Collar Size Guide

Measure around the base of your dog’s neck where the collar will sit and add 2–3 cm for comfort. Choose the size where your final number sits roughly in the middle of the range for the best fit. If your puppy is still growing, consider the next size up so you can adjust as they grow.

Size Webbing width Neck Typical breeds & weight*
XS 1.5 cm 20–30 cm Tiny breeds & small puppies (approx. 2–5 kg): Chihuahua, Toy Poodle, Yorkshire Terrier, very young small-breed puppies.
S 1.5 cm 25–38 cm Small breeds (approx. 4–9 kg): Cavoodle, Maltese, Mini Dachshund, Pug, French Bulldog puppies.
M 2.0 cm 32–48 cm Medium & sturdy small dogs (approx. 8–18 kg): Cocker Spaniel, Beagle, Kelpie, Border Collie, Staffy.

Fit check: You should be able to fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck. If it’s tighter than that, size up. If the collar can slip over the head when fully tightened, size down.
